1. Weather Systems  Anathema
The follow up to ‘Were Here Because Were Here was another prog masterpiece, Anathema have found their niche, Pink Floyd for the noughties?
2. On the 13th Day Magnum
After 30+ years and 16 albums they still deliver and then some. Very pleased that they joined us ‘live’ in the studio to lauunch the album
3. Head Down Rival Sons
One of the best of the newest bands, proving that ‘Pressure & Time was no fluke, interviewed twice on the show in 2012.
4. XXX  Asia
Third album since the reunion, continuing the quality. Geoff Downes was a live guest in September.
5. Skin Panic Room
One of the surprises of the year, PR deliver with their third and best yet. Live guests in August.
6. Afterglow Black Country Communion
Amist and despite the turmoil, BCC still have their moments, especially on the title track, ‘The Confessor’ and ‘The Giver’, could be their swansong though.
7. 20/20  Saga
Another surprise, with original vocalist Michael Sadler back in the band, like he’d never been away!
8. Apocalyptic Love   Slash
Looking like a real band now, with the axis of Slash and Myles Kennedy
9. Bag of Bones  Europe
Fourth album since the reunion and dispelling the parp tastic image with ‘that’ song.
10. A Different Kind of Truth  Van Halen
The long awaited comeback from VH with David Lee Roth, did not disappoint.

Blues Rock best of 2012  Crossing The Line Simon McBride  Hailed as the new Gary Moore, and well deserved!

    Have to agree with the majority of your top 10….. especially the No1. Would have had Halestorm’s – The Strange Case Of… in the top 5 though.
